About John L. Boos, L.M.T. back to top
John L. Boos, a two-time "Mr. World", "Mr. Eastern America" and "Mr. New York State" is a Certified Professional Exercise Instructor with over 35 years in the health and fitness field. He is considered one of the nation's most highly respected experts in exercise and strength training.
bulletJohn, a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist, is a member of the Suffolk county Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
bulletJohn is also certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
John Boos is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Advanced Sports Massage Therapist, a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the New York State Society of Medical Massage Association. He also serves as a massage therapist at many official sporting events, including the US Open Tennis Championships.
John, in conjunction with KING Fitness Equipment Co. has developed and patented a specialized line of exercise equipment for personal trainers, post-rehabilitation and professional athletes. He is also a design and development consultant to KING.

The heart of John Boos Sports Medical Fitness is its state-of-the-art, spacious and contemporary 1300 square foot facility where people of all ages enjoy personalized, one-on-one fitness training for general health maintenance, sports conditioning, weight management and post-rehabilitation needs.

Each client is provided private coaching and guidance, body-fat analysis and a unique method of maximum strength analysis.

The Facility contains a full complement of specialized professional strength and fitness equipment designed by John L. Boos. The equipment adapts to your individual abilities and requirements. The results is a workout that maximizes your ability to execute movements correctly for the positive changes you want.

Cardiovascular equipment includes: Cybex, Stairmaster, Concept II and BioDex.

Sheila Abele, R.N., L.M.T., C.P.T., received her diploma from the Albany Medical Center of Nursing. She served in hospital coronary units and is presently a private nurse in subacute care: Sheila is also a Certified Professional Exercise Instructor, a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist. Sheila lectures to professional groups and organizations on exercise and fitness and assists as a co-host on John Boos' weekly "One-on One" radio program on WLIR-FM.
Keith J. Boos, B.S., C.P.T., is a Certified Professional Exercise Instructor and Medical Exercise Specialist. He holds a B.S., in Health Fitness from Springfield College, Massachusetts. Keith was a member of the New York State Select Soccer Team for three years as well as a member of the Springfield crew and rugby teams.
Jodi Leckie Cameron, C.P.T., is a Certified Professional Exercise Instructor and Aerobics Instructor. She was All-County and All-State for Suffolk County from 1984-1989. A champion in the 1988 Suffolk County 1000 meter relay, Jodi was voted the best high school athlete five years in a row.

John L. Boos has an affiliation with a variety of doctors and health care professionals for consulting purposes. He also has a large referral network. This assures a comprehensive and expeditious approach to client health care concerns.

John has been appointed by Oxford Insurance Co. Educational Services as an alternative medicine educator. He provides lectures and educational seminars to corporations and medical groups on the benefits and integrating of massage into an effective health development program.

John and Sheila also use "EXERssage", a unique combination of therapeutic exercise and massage.
